About Acumen Productions
Acumen Productions is the name of the production house run by Oakland musician and resident Stephen Fong. Founded in 2015, Acumen was created to unify the different creative projects and services Stephen releases and offers by himself, as well as any collaborations. Stephen began producing in 2010 during his freshman year of college as an additional hobby to playing guitar. In 2012 as a member of the Bay Area duo Ghostcat and Ghost Coast Productions he received the Golden Tripod Award for best soundtrack at the International Campus Movie Festival. After graduating in 2013 with a B.A. in Music from UC Riverside he returned to the Bay Area to continue work on his projects and entered the workforce as a musician, producer, engineer and educator. Stephen continues to produce Hip-Hop tracks and works with local musicians. In 2015 Stephen began teaching private lessons in guitar, electric bass, and home recording.
